About

Nguyen Hoang Gia Bao (Bao) is a Vietnamese interdisciplinary artist and poet working across film, sound, text, and performance. He investigates poetry as a mutable structure shaped by mediation and fragmentation. His works examine the instability of language, the erosion of meaning, and the failure of words to communicate experience.

His works and writings have appeared on platforms including Rivering (RMIT University, Australia), Sui Generis (Bard College, United States), Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine (Hong Kong), Radiophrenia (Glasgow, Scotland), WXCB Radio (Bard College, United States), and Vănguard (Vietnam). His performance archives were also featured in the official selection of the IV International Poetry Film Showcase at Maldito Festival (Albacete, Spain).

Bao holds a BA in Art and Media Studies from Fulbright University Vietnam. In 2025, he independently published his debut poetry chapbook, Mai Tang Tuoi Tho / Childhood Eulogy
